NOTHING EVER CHANGES, RIGHT?

—by Rebecca Witherspoon, October 16, 2021

“Based on a study performed by the Department of Health, Education and Welfare, of every one hundred people at age sixty-five, one is rich, four are comfortable, five are still working, fifty-six are needing government support or family support, and the rest are dead.”
—Robert Kiyosaki, Rich Kid, Smart Kid

It’s those 56 who need government or family support that I will be focusing on the most in this next series. Those who are already gone are beyond help. The four who are comfortable probably do not want help. And the one who has already achieved a certain level of wealth does not need help.

Series Title: Finding Purpose & Financial IQ

Have you ever felt like you work hard, sometimes harder than everyone else,  and yet you never seem to be able to get ahead? Have you ever felt like no matter what you do, nothing will ever change for you? Have you ever felt like everything you do is a waste of time and effort? Have you ever felt like you have no purpose for even existing? have you ever felt like it’s not even worth trying?

I can relate! I’ve been there, done that! I’ve had those feelings of failure, inadequacy, and hopelessness. I’m here to tell you there IS hope. You DO have a future and a purpose no matter how far along life’s journey you are. You CAN realize your full potential. And your time on this big ball in space we call Earth and home does having both meaning and a purpose.

It’s time you discover your purpose, your meaning, and your focus.

The focus of this series will be to help you find your purpose and raise your financial IQ. I will be sharing some practical tools, education, and advice from a variety of experts on how to:

  1. Find your life’s purpose, meaning, and focus;
  2. Create a stable foundation at an early (or late) age upon which to build your future;
  3. Dig yourself out of traps (emotional and/or financial) you may find yourself in; and
  4. Develop the perspective, focus, and habits that will help lead you along a path of prosperity and fulfillment.

Not everyone has the same definition of prosperity and fulfillment. I’m not here to tell you what you must do or think. I’m here to help you discover, or rediscover, whatever it is that will give your life meaning and help you achieve whatever level of prosperity is needed and/or desired to achieve your life’s purpose.

Eleanor Roosevelt once said, “In the long run, we shape our lives, and we shape ourselves. The process never ends until we die. And the choices we make are ultimately our own responsibility.”

Stay tuned for upcoming episodes. I’m not sure how many episodes this series will include, but each will have a very specific focus.

Thank you for being a part of my journey and allowing me to be a part of yours. If you’re open to learning more about this and other topics that could help move you more quickly toward your desired goals, please email me at rwitherspoon608@yahoo.com.
